Second Harvest Food Bank While we can’t predict the future, we feel certain about two things: people in East Central Indiana will continue to be in need of emergency food assistance and that Second Harvest Food Bank of East Central Indiana will be there to help them.
Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) “The mission of the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) is to provide shelter, medical care, and love to abused, abandoned, neglected, and unwanted animals until permanent homes can be found. Through educational efforts, public awareness, and community involvement, ARF seeks to relieve animal suffering; to prevent cruelty, abuse, neglect and overpopulation; to eliminate euthanasia as a way of animal control, thereby creating a “no-kill” community in which both animals and humans benefit from the goodness of each other.”
A Better Way “A Better Way provides shelter and services for victims of domestic violence, transitional housing, advocacy for victims of sexual assault, a 24-hour crisis line for persons in any type of crisis, AOK afterschool programs, a suicide hotline, bullying, teen dating violence and domestic violence prevention programs, and a check-in call service for elderly or disabled homebound persons.”
Christian Ministries “Christian Ministries of Delaware County is a non-profit, social service agency that serves the poor and needy of our community with emergency assistance through its programs and commissions.”
Secret Families Christmas Charity “Provides a decorated Christmas tree, presents for the entire family, a $50 Meijer gift card and a bible for each family. All of the above is done for the families in our area that would not otherwise have Christmas.”
